AIRBORNE HONEY

Airborne Honey Ltd commenced commercial operations in 1910 on Banks Peninsula, lying in the East coast of the South Island and was founded by William Bray and his partner, Alfred Barrett. Barrett and Bray operated apiaries of 30 - 50 hives in the many bays and inlets on the Peninsula and produced a number of native honeys on the rugged terrain. Their first hives were taken over to this area by bullock wagon and the two families were able to earn a comfortable living from 300 hives. Handling of the finished product was also very laborious, as this was before motor vehicles and mechanisation were readily available.

OLIVADO

Olivado Natural Nutrition began life in 1999 as Olivado Gourmet Foods. An innovative team, comprising a former chef, a legal brain, a marketing whiz, an internationally renowned food scientist, and an international investor, worked hand-in-hand with the food scientists at Massey University, New Zealand’s premier Food Science University, under a New Zealand Horticultural grant, pioneered and perfected the process of oil extraction from the avocado. The unique process they developed is used exclusively in their factory. No other company can produce avocado oil in the same manner with the quality and shelf life of Olivado Extra Virgin Avocado Oil. Today, Olivado’s driving philosophy is to create and market products that add health and value to people’s lives every day.

WHITESTONE

Whitestone Cheese was founded in 1987 as a diversification during the 1980’s rural downturn and a series of crippling droughts. Bob’s experience in livestock trading was quickly applied to cheese trading. The original factory was set up in Oamaru in a converted garage with milk sourced from local farms and one variety, Whitestone Farmhouse was launched. The business slowly grew as an extension of the farming operation until todays purpose built factory was commissioned in 1998. Son Simon joined the business bringing a new set of skills and the farm was sold to concentrate on growing the exciting family enterprise. The factory now employs over 50 staff and includes a viewing room, cheese deli and shop. Simon Berry now oversees the business management, cheese making team and production.

Functional Whole Foods New Zealand Ltd is a New Zealand owned company specialising in producing high quality functional food products, based on flax seed oil grown in New Zealand, that are widely believed to protect against disease and sustain health and well being through regular usage. Our business is built on sustainable practices. Living Nature was founded in 1987 by Suzanne Hall, who was inspired by the healing properties of New Zealand native plants to remedy her own skin conditions. All our certified natural skincare and most of our cosmetics are made at our purpose-built Kerikeri facility in the pristine Bay of Islands, where our dedicated and highly experienced staff is based and we control every step of product development, formulation, testing and filling. MT ROSA WINES

Mt Rosa Wines is a long established Queenstown Winery, our goal is to limit the pretentious element in an attempt to create approachable, consistent wines which encourage the consumption of not just a glass, but the whole bottle. This helps create the holistic view that once we achieve this bottle state then there's no reason why case consumption is not very achievable by the completely unpretentious.
